The equipment of the Paramedical Centre
Depending on your pathologies, your needs and the pain you feel, we will be able to guide you towards the treatment that will best relieve you.
e have a wide range of sophisticated tools and equipment at our disposal, enabling us to offer you a variety of treatment therapies
Tecarthérapie
Tecartherapy takes its name from the machine used, called TECAR for ‘Transfer of Capacitive and Resistive Energy’.
It stimulates the body’s natural self-healing process, enabling the joint and muscular system to recover more quickly. It is used to complement the therapist’s manipulations.
Shockwave
Sportspeople suffering from tendinopathy often find that their training is hampered by the need to rest. In some cases, shockwave treatment can be an alternative way of continuing sports training during recovery. Non-invasive, requiring no anaesthetic or medication, it impacts the area to be treated by means of repeated pulses passing through the skin tissue.
Pressotherapy
It consists of stimulating lymphatic and venous circulation using pneumatic equipment (boots, sleeves, abdominal belt). Pressotherapy helps to combat heavy legs, swelling, water retention and cellulite by firming damaged tissue.
Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy combines a number of treatments (massage, light, water, cold, heat, electricity, etc.) to restore functions and movements impaired by injury, pain or age. It is also used in specific cases such as sport, asthma or preparation for childbirth.
Ultrasonotherapy
Ultrasound therapy is often used by practitioners at your Paramedical Centre. It is used to repair the body’s soft tissues, such as muscles, ligaments and tendons. It treats a wide range of pathologies. Osteoarthritis, tendonitis, muscle strains, haematomas, etc. Ultrasound therapy has a triple action: anti-inflammatory, analgesic and defibrosing.
Electrostimulation
Performed by a physiotherapist, transcutaneous electrostimulation sends a low-voltage electrical current. This is done via electrodes located in the painful area. It is used to treat chronic and persistent pain for which drug treatments are insufficient.
Professional advice
isokinetism
(Moflex - Cybex)
At your Paramedical Centre, you can also benefit from isokinetic treatment. This technique was developed at the end of the 1960s at the request of NASA. They were looking for a practical way to assess the muscular atrophy associated with weightlessness in space.
The patient is asked to perform a specific movement, the amplitude of which is measured. The therapist determines the resistance and maximum speed to be adopted. This is done according to the pathology, using a dynamometer linked to software. The device adapts at all times to the effort made by the patient, his fatigue and the pain.
Isokinetics is now used in a wide range of situations, including high-level sports, rheumatology, traumatology and neurology. By enabling function and amplitude to be assessed while at the same time working the muscle, it enhances targeting and therefore the effectiveness of rehabilitation!
